Aracoma High School Out Reach Ministry Newsletter Volume 2, Issue 1 January 2006 _________________________________________________________________________ Happy New Year!!!
Dear fellow Aracomians, this ministry wants to thank you for giving us permission to come into your home and into your life. We are very appreciative. Thank you, thank you.
To begin the new year, we want to share with you the story of Aracoma High School Out Reach Ministry: a way of not only talking about, but also showing Jesus Christ’s love for each other.
Our idea is that love starts at home…that is, Aracomians showing thoughts and acts of caring about each other. For us, this is the first step.
Why…does Aracoma High School Out Reach Ministry exist? We exist to share the love and glory of Jesus Christ, in interesting yet customized ways with fellow Aracomians.
What…does Aracoma High School Out Reach Ministry have to offer? 1. We offer compassion, care, and uplift in the spirit of Christ, towards fellow Aracomians. 2. We offer the spreading of ideas on news and information about our people, our culture, and our heritage.
We offer both through our services, products, and assistance.
Your Aracoma High School Out Reach Ministry is structured as an extended family rather than as an organization or institution. We have no titles, no officials, no positions of authority; we are comprised of individuals who champion the ideas of love of God and love of each other.
Aracoma High School Out Reach Ministry is a “state of mind” about caring for each other. We try to provide an atmosphere where this is encouraged.
The glue that binds this ministry together is our focus on relationships; our relationship with God and our relationship with other Aracomians. We believe that positive relations can evolve into transformation of one’s character, where your faith in Jesus Christ expresses itself through love.
Our stance is we do not want any Aracomian to feel as if he or she is a person without a loving family. As an Aracomian there is no need to experience or suffer a lonely heart. We care about you, we love you, and we show it.
Each and every Aracomian is special and loved by this ministry. Remember this is your ministry. It is here to bring glory to God…not glory to Clarence, Jimmie Lou, or Petris—but glory to God through Aracomian’s love of each other in a Christ-like manner.
In the New Testament, Jesus Christ commanded us to
Love each other…Pray for each other…Encourage each other Accept each other…Serve each other…Teach each other Greet each other…Honor each other…Bear each other’s burdens Forgive each other…Sing to each other…Be devoted to each other And to allow each other “space and privacy”.
Aracoma High School Out Reach Ministry is built on this rock/ this foundation/this creed: “It is not your wealth or accomplishments---but how you treat your fellow Aracomians and other people that is the most enduring impact you can leave on this earth. Life minus love equals zero.”
For Jesus instructs us, as Aracomians, in [John 13:35] “Your strong love for each other will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”
And that is the story of Aracoma High School Out Reach Ministry.
My Fellow Aracomians I love you Your Brother in Christ, PETRIS
