                                                  Out Reach Ministry

Fellow Aracomian:

 

Since 2004, in our efforts to glorify God, the Aracoma High School's Out Reach Ministry has been dedicated to

helping alumni and their families. We accomplish this through programs designed to offer support services and

informational awareness to Aracomians and to advocate for better communications on their behalf. We also strive

to share with our alumni and families information about our origins, our relationship with God through Jesus Christ,

and our accomplishments. We presented historical accounts, highlighted unsung heroes and families who were

connected to the coal mining industry and/or Aracoma High School. Our aim is to keep our extended family together

and never lose sight of our ancestry or of our gratefulness to Almighty God.

 

As we face our second year of ministry, and a growing demand for our services, our goal for the coming year is to

continue reaching out and serving all Aracomians. Our efforts include:

. Contacting our sick and home bound members, when made aware of their conditions.

. Offering our sympathy to alumni and their family members as life changes for them.

. Sending holiday greetings and get well prayers, where needed.

. Preparing and distributing informational documents about our classmates, faculty,families and our past in its many

   shapes and forms.

. Offering unconditional prayers for alumni and comfort in the spirit of Jesus Christ.

. Seeking network opportunities and participant commitments.

 

In our first year, we made a special effort to survey our alumni and friends to get their views about our out reach

communications and support programs. The survey results suggest that the Out Reach Ministry is making a positive

impact on Aracomians in many ways. Thank you Jesus! As Aracomians, thank you for your prayers, contributions,

and support. Responses and opinions from you will allow us to continue our efforts and provide Out Reach Ministry

services to our alumni and their families. . . all for the glory of God.
